How can I recover a missing sticker photo?

When capturing a photo of a sticker, if your mobile device looses or does not have an internet connection (eg. due to poor cellular reception or overly aggressive hospital network firewalls) the sticker image may sometimes fail to sync with the Clinical Fox cloud database, and so not appear alongside the record.

Because data loss is never acceptable, the Clinical Fox mobile app saves a backup of your sticker and attachment photos on the device on which they are taken, immediately after processing the cropped image. These are kept on your local device for 4 weeks.

Unlike other data you capture (start & end times, case details, item numbers, etc.), for technical and security reasons sticker images are not automatically uploaded to the cloud database when an internet connection is restored. If you notice a missing sticker or attachment despite having taken a photo, the backup photo can be manually added to the record.

Backup photos can be found saved in the Files app on your iOS device, in the folder On My iPhone (or iPad) > ClinicalFox > backup-photos.

To add a backup photo of a sticker or attachment, in the Clinical Fox app on the device that you used to take the photo open the case record that is missing the image. Click Add sticker image… or Add attachment… then select Add from file browser or Upload file and navigate to the missing photo in the backup-photos folder.
